Students at Hochschule Darmstadt can pursue a doctorate as a cooperative doctorate after completing their studies at the h_da. Hochschule Darmstadt can provide suitable Master's graduates with access to a cooperative doctoral programme with national and international partner universities. For this purpose, the university has various agreements for the realisation of cooperative doctorates and the establishment of cooperative platforms.
In most cases, doctoral candidates are involved in a research project at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences (h_da) and are jointly supervised there by a professor from h_da and the respective partner university, which also awards the doctoral degree in accordance with its own doctoral regulations.
The Graduate School at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences is the central point of contact for all questions and matters relating to doctoral studies at h_da. It provides information and advice, offers comprehensive support throughout the doctoral programme, coordinates partnerships, and handles the administration and supervision of doctoral procedures.
