Enrolment at h_da
Those interested in pursuing a doctorate who are in the preparatory phase may enrol, while doctoral candidates are required to enrol at the university.
The following applies to all: Immatrikulationssatzug der Hochschule Darmstadt.
Optional enrolment for preparation
Prospective doctoral candidates who have been accepted for the exposé phase may enrol at h_da for a maximum of two semesters, subject to conditions, if they intend to pursue a doctorate with primary supervision at h_da. If they are not subsequently accepted for doctoral studies, they will be de-registered.
First enrolment
First enrolment for doctoral candidates who have been accepted at a doctoral centre. Enrolment takes place at the university of their primary supervisor. For enrolment, the currently valid semester fee is payable on the central semester dates and timely re-registration is required each semester.

Second enrolment
Second enrolment for cooperative doctoral candidates and doctoral candidates at an inter-university doctoral centre with secondary supervision at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. To enrol as a second enrolment, proof of first enrolment must be provided and the semester fee minus the semester fee must be paid.

Refund of the semester ticket
If doctoral students do not require the semester ticket, after payment of the semester fee an application for refund can be submitted directly to AStA of Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences within the application period.
