Those interested in pursuing a PhD can find out about PhD opportunities and entry requirements, whilst PhD students and supervisors at h_da receive information, advice and support on all academic and organisational matters throughout the course of their PhD.

The doctoral support programmes offered by the Darmstadt Graduate School are an interdisciplinary training programme designed to enable students to acquire and deepen their general academic and methodological knowledge and skills across disciplines at all stages of their doctoral studies.

The events focus on:

  •     good academic practice,
  •     academic research,
  •     writing research proposals,
  •     research methods,
  •     analysing academic data,
  •     research data management,
  •     academic writing and publishing,
  •     science communication

The current events, including details of times and venues, can be found in the news overview. Certificates of attendance can be issued at the end of the semester upon request.


Additional events on specific topics and in-depth modules are organised as and when required. Please simply submit a request to the Graduate School.

 

Opportunity to participate in the AGWW continuing education programme

The AGWW (Working Group for Scientific Continuing Education) is an association of seven Hessian universities that offer a joint annual continuing education programme. Its members are: Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, Protestant University of Applied Sciences, Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, Fulda University of Applied Sciences, Geisenheim University, Technical University of Central Hesse and RheinMain University of Applied Sciences. All employees and lecturers at the cooperating universities can participate in AGWW events.
