Doctoral scholarships at Hochschule Darmstadt
Hochschule Darmstadt strives to promote young academics and, to this end, awards stipends to support its doctoral students. Within the scope of the funds available for this purpose, the following scholarships are awarded to particularly qualified young academics for their academic qualification as part of a doctoral programme with Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences:
- Scholarship to prepare for a doctorate for a maximum of six months,
- Doctoral scholarship for two years with the option to extend for one year,
- Final scholarship for a maximum of six months.
All persons who fulfil the criteria for admission to doctoral studies are eligible to apply. Application forms are available from the Graduate School on request.
Application
The following documents must be attached to the completed application form::
- a letter stating the reasons and motivation for the application,
- stating the desired type of scholarship and the desired start date,
- Description of the doctoral project with a description of the research work to be carried out through the doctoral funding, a work, time and resource plan and a description of the embedding of the project in existing work contexts at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences:
- Outline of the project for preparatory scholarships,,
- Exposé for doctoral scholarships,
- Extended exposé or status report for extensions or final scholarships,
- supervision agreement,
- assurance of use of resources,
- written confirmation of acceptance as a doctoral candidate (except for preparatory scholarships),
- Proof of registration or enrolment at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences,
- Curriculum vitae and university transcripts including school leaving certificate as a single copy.
Applications can be submitted to the Graduate School in digital form during the year.
